had a family-style dinner tonight, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. the appetiser platter was a great way to start the meal, offering a mix of dishes, sweet and sour pork, fried chicken tenders, jellyfish salad, and refreshing citrus segments for a balanced combination of flavours and textures. hot & sour soup was hearty with mushrooms, tofu, shredded chicken. thick, comforting, and packed with ingredients. tofu pot with vegetables was comforting and rich, with silky tofu, fresh mushrooms, and savoury brown gravy. sweet & sour pork with mantou was tender, it was coated in a glossy sweet-tangy sauce, and the soft fried mantou was perfect for soaking up every bit of it. egg wrapped rolls with fish paste were creative and delicious. the crispy filling wrapped in egg wrap gave a great contrast in texture, while the fresh pickle salad in the center balanced the richness. fried rice was fragrant with a nice wok hei aroma. the portions were generous, making it ideal for sharing with large groups. service was attentive, dishes arrived hot, and the overall dining experience felt welcoming and enjoyable. overall: great food, generous portions, and authentic chinese-indonesian flavours with beautiful presentation. it is a restaurant worth coming back to for family gatherings or celebrations.

Double Happiness International Restaurant is a nice spot if you’re craving Chinese-style dishes in Surabaya. The food tasted great. And we had a pleasant experience at the restaurant. The staff were really helpful, patient, and attentive. The ambience of the restaurant was peaceful and quiet. Each dish stood out in their own way and was quite unique. We had pork ribs and sweet and sour pork. The meat was lean and do not have too much fats. The vegetables were pleasantly flavourful and fresh, even the vegetables used for garnishing were fresh. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place for a big group, otherwise you’ll be unable to eat as many of their amazing dishes😁

Overall taste of food here are good. How they present the food creatively is amazing too. I visited wedding party at saturday night. The only inconvenient thing is parking area. With very limited space, especially in rainy season, it really make us difficult. The ambience is good as well, even the resto rather old but it looks well maintain. Their toilet is clean. The waitress are also skilled and diligent. This the reason why it still exist in very tight competition with newcomers.
