Soto Lamongan Cak Har has become my go-to place whenever I want to introduce authentic Surabaya-style soto to guests from other cities or even from overseas. It has never disappointed, and my international guests have always enjoyed the experience. The soto is consistently flavorful, with rich broth and generous toppings that make it stand out. While the prices are a bit higher than those of most other Soto Ayam restaurants, the quality, portion, and overall dining experience make it worthwhile. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of seating and a large parking area, making it suitable for families and groups. However, during busy hours, the parking queue can sometimes cause traffic congestion around the entrance. One thing to keep in mind is that food preparation can take a little longer during peak times, so some patience may be needed. On the bright side, during Ramadan, the restaurant operates from iftar until suhoor, making it a convenient option for late-night dining.
View on GoogleThe Chicken Soto (Soup) is delicious and must try while you are in town. The restaurant is large and quite crowded, especially during weekend. They also provides some other food and beverages. Very reasonable price. Otak-Otak is a Must Try also.
View on GoogleFYI: Cash only The Soto(s) are amazing and very well cooked. They mix pretty well with the Koyas (Blended shrimp crackers) which are freely provided to all the customers on the table, but they do come with a small amount of them by standard. Optional toppings like sweet soy sauce, chilli sauce, and vinegar are completely set up in the middle of every table. Each cost around 40-50k depending on the content, the pictures include a regular soto with an all-round combo soto. The service was very quick as there were a lot of servers available. Although, there was only 1 line for check out, which caused a long line during the peak hour (lunchtime).
View on Google5/5. One of the best comfort food spots in Surabaya. The soto broth is rich, flavorful, and packed with rempah without being too heavy. The koya and sambal combination really elevates the taste. Generous portion, tender meat, and perfect to enjoy with warm rice. Definitely a place I’d come back to whenever craving authentic Surabaya soto.
View on GoogleThe title tells everything. Since I ate there, I feel like other soto's is not as good as Cak Har's. The taste is consistent everytime i come, waitress quite fast, but the parking lot is small and quite stressful.
