In september 2025 I visited the Navy Center Museum together with my father. I already read some reviews. However the visit was amazing. The museum is big, good routed en 98% of the information is also translated in english. It is also very interactive which is perfect for children. There is also a little snack corner with multiple sellers where you can get some food or something to drink
View on Googlefor the first time, I visited this place, and I was truly impressed— not only by the place itself but also by the company. A big thank you for making this experience so memorable haha :3. This place is amazing and truly broadened my horizons. Hopefully, this won't be the last time. ^^
View on GoogleA really well done museum! You learn a lot about the formation of the armed forces in Indonesia post WWII and it's struggles and accomplishments. All displays are explained well with English translation 95% of the time. As other reviewers mentioned it lacks signage for directions. The tickets are 50K rupiah if you're a tourist, and you should start the visit from the heritage building, then make your way to subsequent buildings then end at the ship building. You could easily spend over an hour here. For the adults there's so much information and for the kids there's lots of displays of weapons and equipments to keep them busy.
View on GoogleThis museum, managed by the Indonesian Navy, is informative and provides comprehensive and educational insights into the history of the Navy. It is equipped with a theatre room that screens historical videos about the Navy, and the collection is fairly complete. Unfortunately, when we visited, we were not accompanied by a guide.
View on GoogleEXCEEDS MY EXPECTATION!!! I thought it would just be another boring museum like the rest in Indonesia. But fortunately my country is getting better at doing museums. From the lighting, the information & texts design, color pallette, ambience, display arrangements, even technology. I can tell they put a lot of resources and efforts into this. For 25K rupiahs per person it was really worth the price. The place was also cool inside, and mostly are wheelchair friendly. If you or your loved ones like ships, planes or tanks, it's even better to take them here! My advice, I think this museum needs more signage because it gets confusing at (lots of) times. I went there at weekend but it was almost empty. Too bad. Maybe not a lot of people know this place yet. But if someday this place gets the attention it deserves, I hope nobody touch or even break, or steal any display inside :(
