I brought two German friends here with high expectations, as they are seasoned travelers who appreciate everything from street food to luxury dining. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing evening. The Atmosphere: The decor and ambiance are truly the highlights. The restaurant is beautiful and cultural, and the pond makes the space feel very inviting and serene. The Food & Service: Despite the lovely surroundings, the food was nothing special. The satay was good, but the rest of the dishes were forgettable. A major letdown was the "Coconut Dessert." The English menu described it as ice cream made from coconut, but we were served basic vanilla ice cream with coconut sauce instead. Communication was also a struggle as none of the staff spoke English, which made clarifying the menu difficult. We didn't want to make a scene, so we simply requested the bill and left quickly to avoid wasting more time. Verdict: A stunning venue for photos, but the culinary execution and service standards don't match the beautiful architecture. I wouldn't recommend it for international guests looking for a high-quality meal.

This place serves really delicious and authentic Indonesian cuisine! We tried abit of everything, from fish to satay to soft shell crab to chicken... all of it was full of flavour and just so good!! Price is reasonable for the quality and taste. The place is beautiful as well with a great service!! Will definitely be back for more great food!

My family’s favourite resto with lot of memories. Teste, quality, service, and venue are well maintained for many years. Ambience was nice for dinner, with some open space, and Javanese traditional touch of decoration. All foods are generally very nice, nothing will fail.

The foods are great. Place is beautiful. We have live music with Indonesian songs at the dinner which's an added value. The thing is I got distracted with sweat and feeling hot without AC. Also drinks are bit pricey.

Love the traditional design of the place!! the open air section of the restaurant is perfect for enjoying the evening breeze of Surabaya. The staff are really helpful and polite. Most importantly, the dishes are 10/10 in every aspect. The quality of the food has remained consistently great for more than a decade.
