Old school Indonesian restaurant, very very old timey, felt like you step into a time capsule. Tried their rawon, oxtail soup (sop buntut), and satay. Most of their food are very peppery, so if you can't handle pepper, do ask them to add less pepper. Rawon beef soup is tender but has a very oily broth, rest of the food are just okay, old school place with an old school taste. Plenty of seatings with roadside parking, there's an attendant.

A good place for East Javanese food in Kota Lama. It’s an old-school, canteen-style eatery with all the usual local dishes on the menu. I had my favourite Javanese dish here, sop buntut, oxtail soup, which was very good, and their satay is also worth trying for its pungent Javanese style sauce. It’s not the cheapest place for this kind of food in town, but still reasonably priced and deservedly popular.

This is an old local Indonesian food restaurant (East Java) and the most memorable dish is sop kikil kambing even though the other dishes on the menu are also tasty such as their rawon and soto. This place has plenty of seats, the decoration doesn't change much maybe since the 80's, no wifi service, plenty of parking lots, and no high chair. The service is good, efficient, and the price is relatively expensive. However, one thing i like about this place is, they have a lot of old crackers (kerupuk), and various beverages. The phone number seems correct, regardless everytime i call, the operator said it was not registered.
