This is a signature dish from East Java especially Surabaya. Some people regard that Rujak Cingur is bizzare food because of its black sauce like mud and main ingredients from the lips of the cow. Its name 'cingur' derived from its main ingredient. Cingur means cow lips in Javanese. For East Java people or other people who like this food, Rujak Cingur makes addicted. Actually there are a lot of delicious Rujak Cingur in Surabaya, one of them is Rujak Cingur Ahmad Jais. You will get a lot of large pieces of cow lip. Its tempeh is fried too dry like crackers. In my opinion, the taste of its sauce is just ordinary. The delicious Rujak Cingur comes from its sauce. I do not recommend it for backpackers because the price is too expensive.
View on GoogleGood location, but difficult to found cause they were not place any name board; only the number address at Jl. Ahmad Jais No 40. Two shop houses beside were closed. Not so big space available, quite clean but hot enough cause here not provide air conditioning. You must have a lot time for queue, truly nothing special with this cuisine and the price very expensive.
View on GoogleFor me, the best rujak cingur in the world!! Rujak cingur = slices of cow mouth and nose with vegetables and fruits mixed together with peanut sauce.. so yummy... hahahaha.. Always be my favorite for Surabaya local food.. can be said expensive but worth every penny you paid.. Just try and prove it!!
View on GoogleThis establishment has been permanently closed, but Google showed open. I came to eat here earlier today. Google should update the status this restaurant as closed.
View on GoogleNice rujak cingur. It is a Legend. However nowadays there are many places sell rujak cingur with good taste as well. So when compared, the price in this place looks overpriced. Beside, the place looks gloomy and a bit dirty. The portion is quite big, the taste is also good but the price is really expensive
