This is the legendary soto daging Gubeng pojok. The meat cut super big. The rice super small. As a boy, it'll need 2 or more rice. The parking also easy. When go to Surabaya, you must try it. Suggest to go this place morning or you won't get any choice of meat.

I went in because I saw the menu and thought they're not so expensive. On the menu, it said 24 thousand rupiah for a bowl of meat soto. And another 4 thousand for the rice. I ended up paying 36.000 rupiah for those. Portion was not satisfying because it only has 4 pieces of meat chunks and soup. Taste wise, it was good, the meat is quite tender and the broth was flavorful. But I wish they would update their menu and be honest about the price. Also to note, the plate for sambal is quite dirty. You might want to take care if you have sensitive stomach.

Legendary soto daging Madura in Surabaya. Very tender meat and tasty soup. You can ask for "daging only" or mix with "babat". Very busy during breakfast time and normally quieter after 10. Beverages are quite expensive as they own the place (always the dissappointment about this place).

One of the legendary foods in Surabaya. The taste is still nice, but the price is a little bit high. But still worth the taste.

This place never fails to provide the best "soto madura" in town. The beef is tender and juicy. If you want to eat a complete "soto madura", you should come earlier in the morning as it runs out very quickly. They also sell "kerupuk tenggiri" accompanied with special sauce, as well as "air kacang hijau" (mung beans water)
