Came here with my travel agency. The food was good, but the portion was a bit small. It was my first time trying Es Campur with pieces of bread inside, quite unique! The taste was just okay, though adding tapai made it a bit unusual for me. The Es Buah was also just okay overall.
View on GoogleIt's a good Javanese Restaurant and It's always packed with customers. I was curious and went for dinner. Food is delicious and well decorated. Cold drinks are also good. But the main problem is that the food is sweet. Some of my friends call it a Javanese Restaurant so it's not so spicy. It's okay to have lunch and Dinner with family and friends.
View on GoogleMy favorite since I was little. I really like both their ayam goreng and ayam bakar. The seasoning seeped into the meat and bone! I love their sambal, it is sweet, tangy, and savoury! I recommend you to order the set meal, you can get rice, ayam goreng or ayam bakar, fried tofu, orek tempe, mie soun kecap, fried eggplant and of course sambal! The place is clean and the service is quick. Love it!
View on Googlei am a fan of Wong Solo’s ayam bakar and have been to multiple outlet across indonesia. Probably my expectation is quite high (based on previous visit to other outlet), i feel a bit discontent of the overall experience here. The waiter ‘forgot’ our order and we’ve been patiently waiting for our food for >30mins or so until we checked on the order, and only then realised the order was not submitted to kitchen. Still, we were very patient customer and wait for the food to be served in the next 10mins without making any fuss. Somehow the food failed to amaze me like usual, probably because of the bitter experience we had earlier. The sambal not as good as I was expecting, and ultimate I couldn’t say Surabaya’s Wong Solo is as good as the other part of Indonesia. (Bali is the best) The cleanliness should be the priority, still the floor was a bit out but table was kept clean & tidy. Come again? - yes i will come as Wong Solo’s ayam bakar had a special place in my heart. Lol. I hope they will do better & keep doing the best. Visited Nov 2023
View on GoogleBarbequed chicken in a charcoal fueled fire? Why not? If you like satay then you'll enjoy this barbequed chicken rice set (Ayam Bakar). You'll need to try Alpukat, which is an Avacado and chocolate drink.
