It was my first time visiting Surabaya Town Square, and I was amazed by the city planning. There is also an underground museum about the history of Surabaya. It’s a great place to learn, gain more knowledge, and enjoy the atmosphere of the city.
View on GoogleThis place was amazing! Romantic, clean, and most importantly, free! Alun-Alun Surabaya is a great public open space. I visited there during Monday, there was a bazaar. It was crowded and lively. My acquaintance who lives in Surabaya told me that this place usually isn't that crowded and is commonly used for activities like jogging. The underground building is an art space, I think? There were many photos and paintings. Also, there was a mini exhibition about Indonesian food. It was informative! There's also a rooftop restaurant, the view and ambience was pretty there. I love the vibe! If you're Muslim, worry not, as this place provides a spacious mosque! The mosque was located at the back of Alun-Alun.
View on GoogleVisited Alun Alun to see the Art subs. It took 3 hours to visit all 6 zones. They had lots of artwork from various artists including some of famous ones. Fully air conditioned and it costed 100k per person and they accept cashless payment only. The cafe has very good Almond croissants and bagel.
View on GoogleIt's a good stop for tourists in Surabaya. It still has a European-style building. The place is quite comfy for certain times. It is also the location of Surabaya Library. There are toilets underground and mosque. The place is sometimes used as a theater that is located on the second floor. It has plenty of parking for cars and motorcycles.
View on Google• I'm going to review a place I visited last month with my friends. Alun Alun Surabaya, in the square area there are libraries, underground museums, mosques and many more. First, Library Alun Alun Surabaya. Before entering the library we have to register online, after that we are given locker keys by the clerk. The library is very comfortable and lots of books, even books for college are also available. Plus there is a place for children to learn and play. The facilities in the library are very comfortable, as are the computers which make it easier to find the books you need. • Besides the city library, I also visited the underground museum. In the underground museum there are various collections of interesting art, ranging from sculptures, puppets, and various paintings. In the museum we can take photos and read the interesting information that is there. In addition, the museum is very clean and well maintained. Visitors must also scan a protective care barcode and may not bring food or drinks. • Besides that, the mosque in the Alun-Alun area is no less interesting, the mosque is very clean and has a beautiful interior. Behind all that, it also has drawbacks, namely there are no seats for visitors in the square area, there is not even a place to take shelter from the hot sun of Surabaya. Even the cafe on the roof doesn't have an umbrella, even though the view from above is very good. But there is something that amazes me where when the call to prayer resounds, all activities in the square area stop.
