A local legend restaurant that sell mixed Javanese rice. The taste is good. Don't forget to order the klepon, it's their speciality.

For me it was overrated and a bit overpriced for the food. The snack was good but nothing spectacular. No toilets inside and the staff looks so busy.

I came to this food spot because many people said they’re famous for their rawon and klepon. For me, the rawon was nothing special compared to the ones you can easily find in Surabaya. The meat was big and tender, sure but still, nothing really stood out. I also ordered a box of 25 klepon to take home, and honestly, they tasted just okay. Not much different from the ones sold at traditional markets. As for the place itself, I’ve got no particular comments. They kept the building’s original vibe from the 70s/80s I guess which is nice. My only concern was the limited parking space (I came by car), and unfortunately, the toilet couldn’t be used, so I had to go to the Indomaret next door. With rawon priced at 36K per portion and a box of klepon at 40K, I personally think it’s quite overpriced. I’d say this place is a bit overrated.

This restaurant is well-known for its Klepon, the Javanese Snack made from glutinous rice flour, brown sugar filling and coated with grated coconut. The klepon texture is gooey, sweet and addictive. One box is contain with 25 pieces klepon, which is enough for sharing. The restaurant always packed with people who want to buy klepon. I suggest to call and order first and then pick it up when it’s ready.

Never bought anything else other than their other-worldly “Klepon” here. It’s a soft glutinous rice ball filled with molten brown sugar caramel inside. When I bite it, the hot and sweet liquid burst out in my mouth. So deep and smoky sweetness. Soo good!
