A museum retelling the life of SBY, Indonesia's ex president, about his upbringing and experiences that shaped his life, with a gallery on the second floor filled with his paintings, his wife's photography works, as well as collection of artworks collected by their family, bought from smaller or local artists, as well as a small library of the books read by SBY. There is a cafe and two gift shops inside the museum, but sadly the only book available for purchase is only one poem collection book of SBY's poems. There is also a small food court and gift shop outside the museum entry gate that has more general gifts of Pacitan instead of the museum, selling rocks and gems accessories as well as handicrafts that you can buy. The entry fee differs for town locals, national guests, and international guests. For national guests, you have to pay 50k + parking. Quite expensive for museums, but it is very well maintained with a lot of helpful staff around. The parking lot is very arid and doesn't have any roofing nor shade, so it can get very hot in high noon.

My suggestion as a Pacitan local Just 10.000 The museum is the brainchild of Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) the 6th President of Indonesia (2004-2014). He takes inspiration from the Presidential Museums in the US. With this Museum, Mr. SBY wants to share his experience, thoughts as well as his memorabilia for the public to take lessons. The museum will also show the story and memorabilia of the late Ms. Ani Yudhoyono, the former First Lady who passed away in 2019.

It's about Bapak Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono the 6th president of Indonesia.. His life, his career, his family. The parking lot is huge. While located in Pacitan, a small seaside hilly town.. you can explore beautiful beaches and caves around the town.
