A museum that exhibits fossil from ancient humans and animals. The ticket price is just 3k for adults and 1k for students. Car park only 2k as well. When you pay for the ticket, u'll get a booklet about the museum. Unfortunately, there isn't any guide that can explain us about the exhibition. Besides the museum, the place also has pendopo, ex excavation site, kids playground, walkground, and camping ground. Too bad some of the kids playground and the camping ground aren't well maintained. Tips: Make sure you WRITE the guest book in the first room of the museum. Even though the staff will not ask you to write, just write it down. For the museum keeper, staff, and maybe related authorities: come on, don't be like that. We know what you doing 🤣🤣

A museum of natural history presenting a small but interesting collection of fossil replicas of ancient humans and animals in Pilang, Kawu, Kedunggalar District, Ngawi Regency, East Java Province. There are 3D physical scenes (dioramas) and statues. Toilets and musholla (moslem prayer place). A food court offers simple foods and drinks. There are a camping ground, a green garden with a children playground and a large joglo-style convention hall for meetings and performances.

This place offers the display of fossils from middle pleistocene epoch, including the cast of Pithecantropus erectus skull and femur and other fauna fossils. This museum now have the selfie spot with Bengawan Solo river as its background.

Nice place to learn about history of Pithecanthropus Erectus from the fossils that has been found by Eugene Dubois in 1891 and the history from another fosils, but still needs some improvement by the Government for the place (maybe The Government of East Java can hold some promotion in television) and maybe hold some great events for tourist attractions (for example: Wayang/Shadow Puppets Festival). The nice thing that the northern area of the site has been improved as camping ground.
