A historic place. The former home of one of the nation's founders, dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat, who lived here from 1936 until his death in September 1952. Getting to this place is somewhat tricky. The nearest station is Walikukun railway station. If traveling from the capital, Jakarta, there are the Majapahit and Gaya Baru Malam trains. However, once you arrive, the only transport to the location is a motorcycle taxi. The countryside at the foot of Gunung Lawu offers a beautiful atmosphere of rice fields. A quiet hamlet far from the bustle and noise of the city. If visitors want to find peace and inspiration, this historic home is worth visiting. The opening hours are not very clear, because visitors have to ask permission from the house's caretaker, Pak Sagimin, whose home is not too far from the location. The house of dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat is designated as a national cultural heritage site, its location is rather remote, within a teak forest area in Widodaren,. Unfortunately it is not yet open to the public and receives little attention, as it is dirty.
