This rest area have the greatest view of Tumpak Sewu Falls.
View on GoogleThis warung comes just in time as you've descended 10,000 steps on your journey before you get to the heart of Tumpak Sewu to get your fabulous poses on. They offer a variety of beverages, some snacks, and a seat to relax for a bit before continuing to see the waterfalls. A pipe of fresh water comes down to the store where you can choose to wash your face/hands from all of the dirt sprayed on you from the waterfalls.
View on GoogleWarung with super friendly owner (!) and really good food for less money. We arrived in the rain and didn't see anything, but this Warung was a real surprise and made us leaving this place with a big smile. Wish you all the best.

View on GoogleIt's called Tumpak Sewu. ‘Sewu’ in Javanese means ‘a thousand’. It is named that because Tumpak Sewu really seems to have a thousand waterfalls resembling a curtain in one location. On our trip later, I'll choose a sunny day so you can see Mount Semeru in the background behind Air Terjun Tumpak Sewu. If you're still brave enough, I'll take you to Goa Tetes and also Air Terjun Kapas Biru. If you're still up for it, that is..hehe..because you really need good stamina just to visit Tumpak Sewu. It only takes 2 hours from Malang city, and we'll leave for Lumajang at 06.00 in the morning. Make sure you get enough rest the day before, okay, because the terrain we'll cover is very tough. To hunt for the best photo spots, I'll take you along a cliff that has only fragile bamboo ladders to reach the bottom of the ravine 200 meters down, then once at the bottom we have to go against the river current, even crossing several places with the help of a rope. Highly recommended for those of you who like adventures in the wilderness! The journey to the bottom of the ravine takes 45 minutes to 1 hour.
