As a millennial generation, coming here is surely like walking down to a memory lane. We used to get lunch or dinner here with our ganks or our crush. And proudly said that yes we have tasted the steak, that Western kind of food which eaten without rice. How cool was that? And now here we are, 15-20 years later with children. The place is much better now, more spacious and cleaner. But somehow the food, is still the same: crisp floury chicken steak with thick brown gravy, soggy fries and mixed veggies served in a hot plate. When I was teenager, for me this was the best steak I've ever had. But now when I'm already a home cook and my food preference is wider and richer, for me, this steak is okay (pssst, I can make better!) My kids ordered Chicken Crispy Steak n Dori crispy steak. The chicken/dori is thinly sliced with a thick crisp batter, then poured with bland, thick - brown sauce. Seems like they put too much water that made it a bit bland. And since the brown sauce is too thick and poured on top of the crispy steak, make it soggy so fast. I just wished that they separate the sauce, so the customer can pour it by ourselves. The cheese sauce is, I'm not sure, made of from real cheese because all I can taste is artificial cheese powder. Beside the steaks, we also ordered a dessert called croiscream or something like that, for croissant ice cream. My expectation was that high reading the word 'croissant', because for croissant with ice cream, the price was too cheap, about 23K. But then the dessert came and I couldn't stop laughing. The croissant itself is actually instant commercial '5 days croissant' which you can find at supermarket. It's croissant shaped bread, not that flaky, buttery, bakery croissant. Well I can't blame WSS because the package itself written croissant. So, the croissant is split, they put 1 scoop of ice cream, drizzle it with chocolate condensed milk and sprinkle it with crumbs of chocolatos 😂 for us adults, it might be funny, but my kids surely love it! It was genius! Are we going to be back? Yes definitely. It may not the best steak I've ever had, my homemade steak might be better, but surely it was always nice going there, kids will enjoy the foods, while we are watching our peers with children and reminisce our young, naive and free soul...

The place is relatively clean, the area is vast, and it has many tables. The sink is quite hidden. Where is cozy in Soehat. When I ordered saikoro beef only with rice couldn't change to potato. So, I ordered Chicken Mushroom and Milo Dinosaur. The service is quiet, fast, and friendly. For parking place is extensive and available for many cars and motorcycles.

A great place to eat and hangout! Even the menu is limited to steaks and rice, the taste and portion is always consistent (and affordable). The place is huge you don't have to worry about seating. Sadly the parking lot is not that big for the place so better take motorcycle. Staff is helpful. Recommended!

The expectation on dining in this restaurant is a decent steak with prices that are not expensive... but especially for the wagyu meltique steak the price is quite expensive but the taste and consistency is not good enough

After coming home from watching a badminton match, my friend and I decided to eat first before going home. We ended up stopping at one of the steakhouses in the Soehat area. The name of the restaurant is Waroeng Steak and Shake Soekarno Hatta Malang. This place to eat is on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, precisely before the bridge to the direction of Brawijaya. The location is on the second floor, above the Bebek Goreng H. Slamet restaurant. The place is spacious with a cozy and comfortable modern impression. There are indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy the available menus. The parking area is significant, and the atmosphere of the dining area is always crowded and queued by visitors. We can immediately find a seat and choose a menu when we arrive at the restaurant. The menus include the Waroeng-style steak menu, grilled steak, fish steak, various drinks, rice series, and snacks for friends. After choosing the menu, we will immediately pay for the order and wait for the food to be delivered to our table. Food prices here are also affordable and friendly to students' pockets. The dining area is spacious, and the place is clean. The staff is friendly, and the service is excellent and fast. But we still have to be patient if the condition of the restaurant is busy because it will wait a little longer.
