I tried Sambal Bawang Mbok Jayus through a takeaway order that we enjoyed at the hotel. To be honest, the fried chicken itself was quite standard and nothing particularly special. However, the real highlight was the sambal bawang. It was outstanding—rich, spicy, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with garlic flavor. The sambal truly elevated the entire meal and made it memorable despite the simple dish. If you’re a sambal lover, this place is worth trying just for the sambal alone.

Cheap food with great taste. Under IDR 50.000 for two persons. I usually eat 10 chilis with fried chicken, corn fritters and eggs.

The sambal bawang is recommended to try! Actually, it's just a simple sambal, but somehow it matches with any main courses. Unfortunately, the taste of main course is a little bit too sweet for me. Overall, the sambal is worth to try.
