People still refer this place as a go to for noodles. Place who keeps quality and taste for decades despite new hype places opening everywhere. Don't expect an Instagramable place, you come here to eat and probably also having nostalgic feelings

This is the kind of ‘gold standard cwi mie’ in Malang. It may look ‘ordinary’, but it tastes so good in its category. It has the classic ‘Yeahhh baby this is the thing I’ve been missing’ taste. I recommend to get the best one like Ayam Jamur or Bakso. The portion? It’s generous, really. I always stop half way before continue it several minutes later. The siomay is so so, however again, it’s fulfilling. One of my go-to is Vosco, for it’s the classic drink of Malang. It tastes like a salty chocolate milk, and for me it tastes SO GOOD. It’s not because of nostalgia (I tried Vosco like 5 years ago), but it truly serves different spectrum of taste in world full of sugar. Imagine salted caramel. Don’t consider Depot Mie Gadjah Mada as snack. Treat it as full meal — Suggest to feast it at dinner time, even!

This place has that "old and legendary" vibes, I don't know if that's true, but I got it from its interior design or from its location, which I really like. The food tasted okay. I ordered a bowl of Rica-Rica Chicken Noodle (Mie Rica-Rica). It was tasty, but not wonderful, imo. Also, considering the price. I immediately compared with a bowl of similar dish that I ate the day before in Kajoetangan Heritage Village, same price but tastier, but instead chicken, it came with 4 big chunks of roasted duck meat, and it was very very delicious. So, today I'm not really impressed by the food. We also ordered their Es Campur for the dessert. It was also okay. The toppings were colourful. They used pineapple instead of jackfruit, which I found quite unique. It was so nice to have the Es Campur, especially became it was a very hot day. The service was nice, quite prompt and the staff was polite.

Legendary wonton noodles in Malang. Slightly al dente noodle with lots of chunks of chicken. Various toppings and lots of drinks. Price is rather on the high side but definitely worth the price. Customers keep coming because it's that good!
