Experience the finest Coto Makassar in town! I also had the opportunity to try their Konro Soup, Es Teler, and Mie Titi. Absolutely recommended 100% worth trying everything!
View on GoogleThe real hidden gem in Malang, found out about this place from my friend who lived in Malang. The place is actually located in accessible area but to reach the exact point you need to know how from the local guide or from the maps. It’s famous among the local and I’ve been told by my Makassarese friends that the Makassar food in this place is approved by their tastebuds. One of my frequently visited place and such a comfort food for me, have my friends and I tried another menu (beside the Coto and the soups) yet still taste so good. The place has quiet limited tables but the crowds itself speaks how good the food this place has.
View on GoogleFeels like home, authentic traditional Makassar food. I love Coto Campur and Es Pisang Ijo. It tastes so freakin' awesome and delicious 😘
View on GoogleBest place to eat coto makassar in Malang! Comes up with small bowl, but generous portion of meat. The broths was really tasty and authentic. Best paired with buras. It only cost 20k-ish (not included the rice or buras) they also served another makassar’s traditional food. Another must try menu: es pisang ijo for only 10k with a huuuuge portion for 3 people
View on GoogleI've been a regular here since 2015 and even till I write this review, I could gladly say the taste doesn't change at all. Stable. Consistent. Coto, Palubasa, Buras, Es Sirup, Es Pisang Ijo, any menu here tasted just as same as what I eat years ago while I'm still in Papua. FYI, I come from Merauke n Coto is a daily food there because there's a lot of migrants from Sulawesi. You could meet people with Makassar/Bugis, Buton, or Toraja ethnicity easily. I even have Makassar aunty n she usually cook Coto on weekend while we visited her place. Hers is definitely better then what I ate here at Widodaren, but it's just personal opinion LOL. As closing statement, if you visit Malang or live here n wanted to know how Coto Makassar tasted like, just come to Widodaren. You won't regret it. Cheers.
