We had dinner at Bakso President Malang, and honestly, the experience was quite unique since the place is right next to the railway line. The prices are a bit high compared to other bakso spots in the city, but the food is tasty and the atmosphere is lively. However, during our visit there were some singers performing, and instead of making the place more fun, it became a bit noisy and annoying. We were waiting for the train to pass, and finally, it came around 9:40 PM, which added some excitement to the evening. Overall, it’s worth trying once for the experience, but the management should improve the ambiance and make it more comfortable and enjoyable for tourists.

I ate here because it was viral while I was in Malang. I wanted to try authentic Bakso Malang, and I’d seen this place all over YouTube. We arrived after 6:00 PM and it was already crowded. There were two of us, so we split tasks — I queued to order while my friend looked for a seat. The waiting time was quite long, around 30 minutes. The menu options are varied, with plenty of food and drink choices. The place is located right next to the railway tracks, and there were street musicians, so it can get quite noisy. The portions are generous, but the taste was pretty average for me.

First time trying this viral Bakso place in Malang, located alongside the railway (you have to park your car/motorcycle across the restaurant, and every time the train is going to pass, they will tell you by shouting haha) The food was okay, it's good and fresh but i think it could be better (still not great tho), i ordered the "Spesial Campur with extra fried meatball", which consisted of several types of meatball, and also the grilled one (topped with lots of friend onions and shallots). The broth was clear and refreshing, mixed it with the inhouse sambal and it became much better. The meatball was good, chewy (not too much flour compared to the actual meat), and the fried ones were the MVP of the dish to me. The price is quite high i think compared to several others in Malang, but i think the experiences are worth every penny. Overall, it's a 4/5, still have rooms for improvements.

Bakso President is definitely a must-try when visiting Malang. The taste is outstanding, especially the Campur Spesial package that comes with a variety of fillings. The portion size is just right, not too much, yet it leaves you feeling satisfied and full. The broth is flavorful, and the meatballs are perfectly chewy with different textures to enjoy. Although the price is slightly higher than regular meatballs, it truly matches the great taste and quality. What makes this place even more special is its unique location right next to the railway tracks. Eating here gives you an unusual experience when a train passes by, adding to the charm. The place itself is quite comfortable even though there are no fans or air conditioning. Natural airflow makes it cool enough, so you don’t feel hot while dining. It’s a simple yet memorable atmosphere that makes the food taste even better. Overall, Bakso President is one of the best culinary spots in Malang. It combines delicious food, unique ambiance, and a long-standing reputation that makes it iconic. Many people come here not only for the food but also for the experience of dining by the train tracks. The consistency of taste and the variety of menu options make it stand out from other bakso stalls. If you are in Malang, this is definitely a place you should not miss.
