I stopped by Warung Mbok Sri during a quiet time, so it was easy to settle in without the usual rush. The calm atmosphere was actually a nice surprise, especially after avoiding the busy lunch crowd. It felt like a relaxed place to take a break, and I’d happily come back when I want something low-key.

Warung Mbok Sri is a great dining place at the heart of Batu city, that serves local Javanese dishes. There are choices of menus from chicken, fish, prawn, vegetables, soup, etc. The menus are good for personal consumption or group dining with friends and family members. It is a recommended place if you want to have Indonesian menus upon visiting Batu, Malang. Pricing is quite reasonable. Payment can be made by cash and electronic modes. Fast and warm service provided by the waiter and waitress. Dining area was clean and comfortable. They also have VIP room for special occassion. Spacious parking slots are located at their compound.

The original chicken is pretty good, its savory combine sweet and saltiness. While the other a yam goreng is more to the salty side. The tahu telor is also very good. While you can see a good scenery from the windows

Taste ok and good but nothing special. I believe this is a very popular spot among tourists. I’m a tourist too and it is a good restaurant for us as an introduction to Indonesian cuisines. But I would like to highlight that the Tempe is really good. Taste different from other warung and in Malaysia.

The place has 2 floors with the lower floor has less windows opened at night, making it warmer. It has both seat and lesehan, which give flexibility on options for eldery and people who prefer to sit lesehan. Large parking space and no mosquitos and flies in sight, the place is clean. Food is one of the best in Batu. We ordered gurami bakar asam manis, gurami bakar kecap manis, ayam bakar manis, ca pucuk labu, sayur asem, ca lettuce, bakmi godog, sup bakso, avocado juice, wedang jahe, etc. Food was great, can’t find fault with them. There’s non spicy options available. Service was professional and prompt. Music playing on the background was musical instrument, which was pleasing. You can buy fish food at the cashier to feed the fish. This entertains the kids. Super recommend.
