New road from Cermee, follow the brown signs. This is one of those cases where the pleasure comes not only from the attraction itself, but also from the road leading to it. At first, the route passes through agricultural areas. On both sides of the road, bright green rice fields alternate with tall sugarcane plantations. Thanks to this, the scenery keeps changing and never has a chance to get boring. The road is winding, but the turns are very natural and comfortable — riding is easy and pleasant. Gradually a gentle climb begins. The fields give way to trees, and then the first signs of an unusual landscape appear. Geological formations open up along the sides of the road: slopes carved by erosion, huge boulders and chaotically scattered rock masses. However, almost all of this stays some distance from the road. To see them up close, you'll probably need a separate trek. At the end of the road there is an organized viewing area. A parking lot, gazebos, benches and several viewing platforms have already been built here. Everything looks neat and gives the impression that the area is being actively developed. However, for now the infrastructure is clearly ahead of the content. The walking paths practically lead nowhere. At one of the viewing platforms, they've started building a new route: it passes by three large rocks and then unexpectedly ends. If in the future the path is extended across the whole valley, connecting the main geological sites, the place could become really interesting for walks. At the time of my visit, there were no proper trekking routes here. As a result, my impressions were mixed. The place itself is pleasant, quiet and well-kept, but there are no outstanding sights yet. If you happen to be nearby and have some free time — it's worth stopping by. I wouldn't change my route specifically just for this geopark. There is only one recommendation you should definitely follow. After visiting the viewing platforms, don't turn around right away. Ride about one more kilometer to the very end of the asphalt road. That's where several huge boulders sit literally at the roadside. They make a much stronger impression than the geopark's main viewpoints. And then the most enjoyable part of the trip begins. The return descent is so smooth that you can coast down almost the entire way, barely using the engine. In complete silence, among beautiful rural landscapes and new turns, this descent becomes no less memorable than the ride to the geopark itself. ⸻ Road card Cermee — Wisata Batu So’on Road rating: ★★★★☆ Pros: * new, high-quality asphalt; * pleasant smooth turns; * beautiful views of rice fields and sugarcane plantations; * interesting geological landscapes; * very pleasant return descent. Cons: * the geopark itself is still poorly developed; * walking routes are practically non-existent; * the infrastructure still looks unfinished. Attraction rating Wisata Batu So’on Rating: ★★☆☆☆ The place has potential, but for now it gives the impression of a project that is still in development. It's not worth coming here specifically, but if your route passes nearby, a visit will leave pleasant impressions. MotoTriper recommendation If you go to Wisata Batu So’on, be sure to ride all the way to the end of the asphalt road. The most interesting rock formations are right there, not near the official viewing platforms. Also, don't rush on the way back — the leisurely descent along this road is in itself one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip.

The place is comfy enough, but sadly Batu So'on is already covered by tall teak trees, so the view of the Batu Soon rock isn't quite perfect,

An incredible struggle to reach this place. First, Maps led us astray onto a road that was really inhumane and extreme. Even though we'd already chosen the car route in Maps. After turning around and reaching the location, it turned out the place we were heading to had been planted with teak trees. There were also wild plants growing on the rock. It does look natural, but in the end the rock we wanted to see was blocked. The parking area is already good, shady. There's only 1 washroom/toilet

Very nice, although the surroundings around the rocks didn't support our goal of just seeing the rocks.
