Good taste

one of my fav beef soto in srengat, super love the crispy fried cow's lung. extremely delicious, have been coming here quite often because I really like it. after a very long time of not coming here, finally stopped by here again yesterday with icc 21 June 2026

A famous soto stall in Blitar, precisely in the Blitar regency area of Srengat sub-district.. named "Soto Gentong" why is that so because the lights used are covered by a red clay pot and that has become the characteristic of this stall. For the menu there is only one, which is beef soto, but don't worry, there are other condiments served on the table... there are lungs (either regular fried or flour-fried), then there are liver satay, there are also salted eggs (*not always available) and last but not least there are prawn crackers. In terms of taste, this hits the spot hehe the broth is coconut-milk-based and savory so it's suitable if mixed with sweet soy sauce, the meat is also tender and quite a lot with a price, insyaAllah if I'm not mistaken, ranging around 10k per bowl. Indeed the portion for that can be said to be small, but with that price it is very acceptable.. my suggestion is maybe you can order 1.5 portions xixii. The parking lot in my opinion is a bit limited because the stall is right next to the highway, but don't worry there is a parking attendant who manages our vehicles hehee. Soto gentong also has a branch at the sambi terminal.. oh yes, the one in Srengat opens in the morning near the Srengat PLN, for the night near the immigration office.

Soto ini merupakan soto favorit saya di Srengat. Salah satu ciri khasnya tentu terdapat gentong merah. Seporsi soto terdiri dari nasi, daging dengan kuah soto yang tidak terlalu pekat, kecambah, dan juga irisan kucai. Tanpa sambal karena saya memang pesan yang tidak pedas. Sebagai tambahan di meja terdapat irisan jeruk nipis, kecap, dan sambal. Saya lupa terdapat kerupuk atau tidak. Selain itu terdapat pula ati sapi yang ditusuk seperti sate yang menjadi favorit saya. Jika haus terdapat minuman juga.
