I had lunch with my wife at this crowded ongklok noodle restaurant. We enjoyed ongklok noodle, sweet beef satay, flour fried tempe, cireng, iced Carica drink, and iced orange. Unfortunately the ongklok noodle wasn't the best in town. There are two dining spaces separated by a Padang restaurant. High chairs and carpets. Clean restrooms (with squat toilets) and musholla. Motorbikes and cars park on both sides of the road. No free WiFi.

One of the most famous mie ongklok spots in Wonosobo. The noodles are delicious with a thick, savory broth, and the beef satay on the side is also really good. The price is very affordable and definitely worth it. Even better when you enjoy it with tempe kemul and geblek on the side, which add even more flavor to the whole meal

Mie ongklok tasted really good but had bad experience with the satay. Some of the meat hadn’t fully cooked. I know they were in a rush but still.

Mi Ongklok Longkrang is a must-try culinary spot in Wonosobo. The mi ongklok features a rich, savory broth with cabbage and chives, perfectly warming for the cool Wonosobo weather. The sides are equally memorable: beef satay with flavorful peanut sauce, crispy yet soft Wonosobo style tempeh, and chewy, savory geblek. Together, they create a complete, satisfying meal that truly showcases the region’s authentic flavors. The setting is simple but full of character, often bustling with visitors. Dining here is more than just eating it’s a genuine taste of Wonosobo’s culinary heritage.

Mie ongklok longkrang wonosobo was one of the restaurants on our food list, on our way to Dieng. It was packed with people. We had to park further away from the restaurant. Although the queue was long, it went rather fast. The waitress worked quickly. People also didn't linger around after they finished their meals. So the wait was bearable. We had to order and paid first before the food being served to our table. We ordered: Mie ongklok - thicker soup with sweet umami taste. Gorengan (fritters)- tempe kemul (deep fried tempeh) & cireng. Sate sapi - beef satay Es jeruk (orange) Es teh tawar (ice tea) The noodle sauce was a thick and slurry type which tasted a bit to the sweet side. The addition of sambel ijo gave a strong kick to the dish. The tempe kemul & cireng were the highlights of the show for me. They're delicious! The beef satay was tender and tasty, too. I couldn't give the noodle a 5 star because the taste of the noodle sauce was a bit out of place for me. Because i was expecting salty instead of sweet for a meal. But my opinion can be different from others.
