Striking modern art owned by the founding family of a major textile firm & displayed in a mansion.

A hidden gem for art lovers, featuring a curated mix of contemporary Indonesian and international works. The space is modern, intimate, and beautifully designed, creating a calm, immersive experience. Overall, it’s a unique and enriching place to visit, perfect for those who enjoy art, design, and a quiet, refined environment. Highly recommended, just remember to book in advance.

Nice place to enjoy art. Better buy the ticket in advance from traveloka. Even their opening hour is 10, you can come before 10 and they already open. The parking lot is limited. If full, you can park in front of their neighbour building. You should place your bag in their locker freely but when the locker already full, they put your bag below the locker. The theme of the exhibition will change every 3 or 4 months. This time is about object and politik kehadiran.

A beautiful and modern museum that's definitely worth visiting if you're in Solo. The architecture and art collection are thoughtfully curated, creating a unique and enjoyable experience. Although the museum is relatively small, it's well designed and easy to explore in about an hour. A great place for art lovers or anyone looking for a peaceful and inspiring stop in the city.

Art museum in Solo, it is actually a private museum owned by someone, but it was eventually opened to the public. There are lots of art objects like paintings, sculptures, art installations, etc. It gets pretty crowded on weekends or public holidays, so be ready to see many visitors who are more focused on taking selfies than enjoying the art, lol. Overall, it was a good experience to appreciate the artwork in this place.

Tbh really good collection of art but there are too many people taking pictures. Too many as in 5 people queuing to take a picture in front of a painting. Here are my inputs: 1. Segment it, a number of people per hour. Reservation in advance. Increase the price 2. Provide paid guide. Some people come there to actually explore what’s inside and not just to take pictures of themselves 3. The QR code you attach for each art piece, explain the art piece itself too. Not just the creator biography. Give history, meaning, whatever it is trying to imply. 4. Put more air fresheners. For god sake I was trying to read and kept getting distracted by armpit odor
