I had an incredible iftar experience at Kayu Manis Restaurant with my friends. Everything from the food to the service was truly outstanding. For starters, I ordered the Caesar Salad, which was fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced with a creamy dressing and crunchy croutons. For the main course, I chose the Bebek Asap Londo, and honestly it was one of the best duck dishes I’ve had. As many people know, duck can easily have a strong smell if it’s not cooked properly, but here it was perfectly prepared tender, flavorful, smoky, and absolutely delicious. My uncle ordered the Pasta Beef Arrabbiata, and at first I underestimated it because this is an Indonesian restaurant. But I was completely wrong. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the beef was tender, and the arrabbiata sauce had a rich tomato flavor with a nice balance of garlic and chili that gave it a gentle kick. It was surprisingly authentic and incredibly tasty. Two of my friends also had amazing dishes and they really enjoyed their meals as well. We will definitely come back again. Not only was the food fantastic, but the service was also excellent. Special thanks to the two waitresses who were very attentive and helpful throughout our dinner I’m really sorry I forgot your names, but your service made our evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a wonderful iftar experience!

We ordered Chicken Parmigiana & Soup Iga Kecombrang. Good Service, But…… The Chicken inside chicken parmi is good, but bread and vegetables taste old and funny. And the Soup Iga was seasoned perfectly, like I have nothing to complaint about the taste.. but at the end of the meal, I found HAIR and suspiciously maybe a BUG inside my soup. 🐜 I’m not sure about the insect, but the hair is very obvious. With this price range, I would expect a better hygiene. But yeah I would give it a 4 ⭐️ first, and see hopefully I won’t catch upset tummy later on.

Great place and ambiance, nice just to sit around. But, the foods and beverage big no. :( The hot ginger tea served cold and the lemongrass was not cleaned, the signature coffee did not taste coffee but milk, and the cake especially cheese cake even worse. Really already hard like that, not like common cheese which soft and melted.

Cozy place with calm environmentg fast on point service, food is good, taste as expected, plenty parking space, seats are available due to late visit. Suitable to vegan, salad is good, hot chocolate is tasty but not too sweet. We are having a nice evening, satisfied stomach.. ☺️

We really enjoyed to have had a breakfast here, the old live music did increase our mood as it went alongside theme of Kayu Manis restaurant. They have various food menus from starters, pasta & rice, steak, noodles to local Indonesian food as well as myriad of beverage options. The old-fashioned style favouring back in Dutch era is really showing up in this place, as you can see they own a lot of ancient stuffs and rather cool yet rigid building materials despite having been abandoned for quite long time after art school set their foot off correspondingly. I like how the barrista, who happened to be the server too, represents subtle demeanor toward us when helping to take some 'selfie' photos and taking order, my thanks to thee, Yuda! As to justify the taste and price overally, I would say they have almost everyone's tongue satisfied by any means, however their price might be slightly above average.
