Bakmi Djowo Koeno & Ayam Goreng Kampoeng Mbah Mangoen is a great place to enjoy traditional Javanese-style dishes with comforting flavors and a classic atmosphere. I ordered the Bakmie Goreng with chicken breast, and it was served in a generous portion with an appetizing look. The noodles were well-cooked, not too dry, and nicely coated with seasoning that delivered a rich, savory taste. The flavor leaned toward traditional Javanese-style cooking, making it warm and familiar. The chicken breast was tender and well-seasoned, pairing nicely with the noodles without overpowering them. Each bite felt balanced and satisfying. The dish worked well as a complete meal and was filling enough for lunch or dinner. The overall taste was enjoyable and consistent, especially for those who appreciate classic Indonesian noodle dishes. The atmosphere of the place reflected a traditional and nostalgic concept, adding to the dining experience. It felt relaxed and comfortable, suitable for dining with friends or family. Service was fairly smooth, and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, Bakmi Djowo Koeno & Ayam Goreng Kampoeng Mbah Mangoen offers a satisfying dining experience with solid flavors, good portions, and a pleasant traditional vibe. It is a recommended spot for anyone craving classic bakmi with a local touch.

A well-known long-established bakmi restaurant in Solo, Central Java. In the evening, guests can enjoy live music while dining. The noodles are topped with free-range chicken, prized for its firm, flavorful texture. The restaurant is often fully booked during the dinner rush, so arriving early is recommended.

5 stars cos there's a COOL CAT watching BIG COOKING FLAME. No chance of tasting the food, waiting Duration is 1+ hour. Should've add more cooking area and crews and improve the service speed.

Been looking forward to come to this place since a few years ago and boy oh boy I’m so disappointed. The service was swift but both of the bakmi Godog we ordered smell apek, no taste. My parents managed to finish it all (they shared a plate) meanwhile I couldn’t swallow even one bite. My husband’s magelangan also smelled apek he could only eat half a portion. Luckily my child’s ayam goreng kampung and rice was good, I love the urap as well. Will not come back and not going to recommend this place, I’m sorry.

A dish best enjoyed at night… but be prepared to be patient, as orders are made one by one on the stove and may take around 30–40 minutes to prepare. The noodles are delicious, and the broth is rich with flavor… Besides the noodles, the crispy fried chicken is also worth trying — the meat is tender. There’s plenty of parking space and the prices are quite affordable. The location is in a residential area.
