Went to Museum Kartini last week and liked it. It helps you understand what she stood for. Worth stopping by if you’re around.
View on GoogleA must-visit historical site in Rembang. It's the actual former home of R.A. Kartini, filled with her personal belongings, letters, and furniture. Very well-preserved and offers a touching insight into her life and fight for women's rights. Affordable and educational!
View on GoogleWe were not expected that Rembang has museum about Kartini's life so that's why with curiosity we visited the museum and got valuable lessons about our national hero. The place was not crowded when we came and saw several students just finished their visit. However, the staff said many things in the museum are replica due to the genuine Kartini's belongings are kept in one of the museums in Jakarta. The museum is ok but needs a little bit of touch to make it more attractive and maintain well.
View on GoogleIts a very good place to learn about history. If u adore R.A Kartini and her movement, this place is a must. A tour guide will tell u whole interesting story about her, alongside with her authentic things such as photograph, clothes, drawings, writings and many other things. But please, bear the hotness air inside the building. Hope they will put big fan or AC here (soon). P.S. Its free to enter
View on GoogleThis museum is located within the local government office complex of Rembang Regency, Central Java. I and my wife came here shortly before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. A large, peaceful, cool place with well preserved buildings and artefacts, including a room where RA Kartini gave lessons to girls, her bathroom and bedroom. There is also a library showing her writings and an inscription about her family tree. Here I felt a direct connection between the real world where she spent her short married life until her death and what we read and hear about her. Our visit has left a deep impression in our hearts. Clean toilets and musholla (moslem prayer place) outside of the museum but still within the government complex.
