One of the legendary local snacks in purworejo area. Dawet ireng based from rice flour (dawet), rich coconut milk and a sweet palm sugar or gula jawa. Very delicious and light so you could take more than 1 portion for yourself but take in mind of the sugar because it contain a quite a lot of sugar in it. Dawet ireng Pak Wagiman is must try and always crowded when the holiday season come.

This is the famous street stall at Jl. Nasional 3 (the Purworejo-Kebumen route), Krajan, Butuh District, Purworejo Regency, Central Java Province offering the original sweet fresh iced black dawet (dawet ireng, dawet hitam), a traditional drink combining flour jelly, sweet palm sugar and very strong coconut milk. Just about 100 meters from the border between Purworejo and Kebumen Regencies, both in Central Java Province. I and my wife love it. Cool, savoury but also sweet.

A must visit if you pass this small town. The dawet is cheap and delicious. The stall is easy to find since it is located on the side of the road.
