Paksi Coffee House was so nice and delicious, totally recommend it! Also great location just outside the grounds of the famous borobodur temple. Maya the owner is really cool, a real original. We also ended up staying in her homestay, which is super beautiful. I think you can call it a villa, with beautiful plants and a wonderful view. Everything that you need is provided there. Aircon, exceptional food, wifi, tips for further travels. The picture is taken the first night in paksi coffee House, Maya and some family members playing domino. Rooms are spotless, private and beautiful. |The Coffeehouse is like a great relaxing living area. The location is perfect. The service is exellent.The host is tremendous:||I booked two nights but stayed longer because Maya's place - Paksi Coffeehouse made me feel at home and Maya went out of her way to let me experience Borobodur with surroundings at its best. I got a real taste of Java, off the beaten track and I am so grateful.

Great cafe in Borobudur - very cozy, and the owner is lovely! Had fantastic vegetarian food here. There’s also free WiFi, if needed.

We have stayed for three nights at Maya's. On arrival she has offered to choose from the two rooms, that was already a great start, although equally both seems great, spacious and very clean. We loved the deco!||We had lots of great memories, like taking the sunrise tour (highly recommended!), cycling (rental for 25.000/day) around Borobudur, once even Maya came with us, showed us her neighborhood, she even invited in her home in the close by village, gosh such a lovely lady!||It was nice to hear from her how locals live there, Indonesian traditions, culture, religion and of course having delicious coffees every day. Oooh and try her yummy avocado juice (in season) 25.000Rupiah, I could not have enough of it. ;-)||Also she can organize to come to the house a lady who does massage for her, we had her every day for a very reasonable price.||She even helped us to book flight ticket at the local shop, that was the only way to do so for next day.||We had an amazing time, Maya is such a wonderful host, we did not wanted to leave....hopefully we can return one day.||Dear Maya, we wish you all the best and thank you again for looking after us and making our stay memorable!!!

Me and my girl were looking for a nice place to stay near to the Borobodur. First instance it seemed impossible to find a nice and cosy place for a reasonable price next to the great Borobodur, but we succeed. Paksi Coffee House, also known as Maya's place is runned by a lovely woman called Maya, who takes care of you all day and who makes sure that you won't miss any necessary imformation about the area. We had been invited to visit the real Asian life and, until today, this is one of the best days and memories of our trip through Indonesia. ||I can recommend everybody to stay at Maya's place for experience the very best of Borobodur. ||besides that, Maya will tell you all the best places in town and if you prefer not to go out for dinner, please try the lovely food she makes herself.||||Jaap & Artjanna
