one of the the most delicious soto with buffalo meat in Kudus City (60 km from Semarang) long time ago government regency didn't give permission to cut ox, so buffalo appear as a solution. Now this region known because this buffalo meat. this city is about 60 km from Semarang, after Demak Regency. If you visit Semarang / Demak / Kudus, you should try this Soto and Hot Tea
