Food was decent, location and atmosphere are both fantastic. Service was okay. Live music was great. Came on a Saturday night but was able to get a table within 20 minutes of waiting. The steak was admittedly undercooked, asked for medium well but served medium rare, but it was still delicious regardless. The pizza had an amazing crust and wood fire taste. The truffle pasta was also really well done. The burrata was an excellent antipasto. The free focaccia was also a pleasant surprise as a starter. Would recommend and come back again.

Live music at 8pm!! I ordered the all cheese pizza, squid pink pasta, and the salad. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!! This is one of the best pizza ive ever had my whole life. Didnt expect semarang to have such delicious italian food with very chill ambiance. The taste is very flavorful and so complex. I also ordered the berry kombucha as my drink and it was very tasty. The service is also so good! The waiter and waitress are so friendly:D Will definitely come here again if i visit semarang.

I came here as a walk in without a reservation since I was just strolling around here. I wasn’t really planning to dine in, but I got hungry and the restaurant’s vibe caught my attention. It has that cozy semi bar, vintage classic atmosphere. I’ll admit, I felt a tiny bit underdressed in just a t-shirt and shorts. But thankfully the atmosphere was welcoming and not intimidating at all. I was warmly welcomed by the host team and guided to an available table. Special mention to our server that i forgot the name😅 incredibly friendly and attentive! As a tourist, I asked quite a lot of questions and recommendations, and he explained everything patiently and clearly 👍🏻 The food truly lived up to the experience. Great flavors, beautiful presentation, and everything paired perfectly with the warm ambiance. Overall, the ambiance, the dishes, and the service blended together perfectly! Bravo🤩

It was a satisfying lunch experience. they offer a wide selection of wines and pasta. The atmosphere was very comfortable, though I wasn't sure why the smoking area lacked a partition still, it didn't really matter. The experience was well worth it thanks to the delicious food and excellent service especially from Mr. Rudi, who was incredibly friendly yet professional. He even asked if I had any allergies (even though I don't). I actually had to double-check his name tag because the text was a bit blurry, but he certainly deserves the praise.

Speigel is my fav restaurant in Semarang. Love the location, the building, and of the staff. However, it shouldn’t be bcos my diet is plant based and practically everything on the menu has meat or seafood! Thanks to Rizal, a very caring waiter who is always ready to go beyond to help me eat a meal that will be filling and satisfying. In saying that, I would ask that such a fine and longstanding establishment such as Spiegel consider adding a few dishes and at one dessert that are plant based. This would be easy to do as not much preparation would be needed. Thank you in advance.
