Nasi Pindang Kudus Gadjah Mada is a wonderful spot to enjoy some truly delicious food, now located where Gajah Mada Street used to be. Their pindang beef is out of this world, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. Plus, you can choose from an impressive selection of side dishes, like intestines, liver, beef tendon, tongue, pindang eggs, and of course, more beef—there’s something for everyone to enjoy! The place has been beautifully renovated, making it a cozy and welcoming spot to relax and dine. If you’re in Semarang, it’s definitely a restaurant you don’t want to miss. Great food and a lovely atmosphere make for a memorable meal that you’ll surely want to come back for!
View on GoogleHumble, no frills nasi pindang. Tastes amazing with light soup, tender protein. Intestines are not for everyone but if that's your thing, they did it great. A bit of the pricier side but worth it.
View on GoogleWe tried the food around 2nd week of May 2026. I often tried pindang chicken in Jakarta. The soup's taste was tastier than I used to. I like that As pricing I spent less than in Jakarta
View on GoogleNasi Pindang Kudus, offers a completely distinct flavor experience and is a must-try when you visit Central Java. Flavor and Broth: Nasi Pindang Kudus is truly a special dish. Its broth is a deep brown color, resulting from a blend of savory coconut milk (santan) and a rich Javanese spice base, notably the kluwak (black nut) spice, which imparts the dark color and characteristic aroma. The taste is sweet, savory, and slightly smoky, reminiscent of Rawon but richer and creamy due to the coconut milk. Traditionally, Nasi Pindang is served with tender pieces of buffalo meat, a specialty of Kudus (similar to Soto Kudus). 2. Soto Ayam Semarang: The Small, Refreshing Bowl Soto Semarang is famous for its light, clear, and refreshing character, making it a perfect choice for breakfast or a light lunch. The main attraction of Soto Semarang lies in its side dishes. You must eat this soto alongside various skewered side dishes, such as clam satay (sate kerang), quail egg satay (sate telur puyuh), tripe satay (sate usus), and various fried items like potato patties (perkedel) or seasoned fried tempeh. These side dishes, often displayed on the table, are the key to customizing the soto to your personal taste. Local food is always good. when you enjoy the food at a local restaurant like Nasi Pindang
View on GoogleLocated strategically on MH Thamrin street with roadside parking, albeit limited space. Their Nasi Pindang and Soto Sapi are tasty, fresh, and authentic. We opted for iso and babat toppings, which were also delicious. A guaranteed good choice. Too bad they don't serve sate kerang, which my wife and I love. That's all
