Another culinary night in Semarang City. Don't miss out on trying one of the famous Nasi Goreng Babat in town. The location is near the Old Town of Semarang or you can find it on Gmaps. The portion is quite large with a price of 30K. The taste is savory, salty, and sweet.. this is delicious and taste just right. For 1 portion of fried rice, already include Telor Dadar. You can also add-on Crackers Please give it a try 👍🏻✨
View on GoogleNasi Goreng Babat Pak Karmin Mberok is a legendary fried rice spot that you absolutely must visit when you are in Semarang, especially around the Old Town (Kota Lama Semarang) area. This iconic dish is known for its distinctive flavor, featuring savory fried rice combined with tender beef tripe (babat) and rich spices that create a bold, authentic taste. The aroma alone is enough to draw people in, and the flavor lives up to its reputation—deep, comforting, and unforgettable. For me its a : A true Semarang culinary icon. If you’re exploring Kota Lama Semarang, skipping Nasi Goreng Babat Pak Karmin Mberok would mean missing out on one of the city’s most legendary street food experiences.
View on GoogleNasi goreng Babat gongso Pak Karmin is one of the legendary dishes of Semarang. They kept the tradition of cooking and preparing it since the 70’s. One legendary dishes is Babat Gongso, a typical Semarang dish. It’s made with boiled beef tripe that is sautéed with various spices and sweet soy sauce, resulting in a spicy, savory and sweet flavor. The word gongso means sautéed in Javanese and refers to the cooking process of this dish. If you’re not a fan of tripe, they also offer chicken gongso , which you can enjoy with either fried rice or just plain white rice. It’s located on a side street near the old and famous kota lama bridge in Semarang
View on GoogleSecond time coming here. Ordered Nasi Goreng Babat not spicy and "sweet" taste felt more dominant. Still liked it but I've tried other that felt more delicious. Food waiting time was reasonable. Minus point: mosquito and only accept cash payment.
View on GoogleAbsolutely delicious! Nasi Goreng Babat Pak Karmin Mberok truly lives up to its legendary status. The babat gongso is packed with flavor, smoky from the wok, and the babat is incredibly tender and savory — one of the best I’ve ever had. Portions are generous, and the sambal adds just the right level of heat. It’s also conveniently located in a strategic spot near Kota Tua Semarang, making it an easy stop while exploring the city’s historical sites. Quick service, humble atmosphere, and unforgettable flavors. A must-visit culinary icon in Semarang. Highly recommended!
