Had a wonderful experience celebrating the 90th anniversary of Toko Oen. The place is spacious with a calm, nostalgic, almost timeless atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a special occasion while soaking in a bit of history. The menu offers a great variety, and everything we tried was delicious, from the classic dishes to the desserts. You can really feel the heritage in every bite. What truly made the visit exceptional was the service. A special thanks to Mas Wawan for taking such great care of us, attentive, friendly, and very professional. The cashier and all other staff were equally warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The event itself was well-organized and lively, yet still maintained that signature serene ambiance. It’s a place that beautifully blends old world charm with great hospitality. Overall, it was a memorable and heartwarming experience. Definitely a must-visit, whether for the food, the history, or the outstanding service. Highly recommended!

Stopped by for tea time and tried the famous poffertjes. Was soft, chewy and savoury. Best poffertjes I have eaten in a long time, very nostalgic flavours. Price was reasonable too❤️ The place was quite empty at tea time on Sunday, probably more crowded during day time. Beautiful old house and there is a nice historical exhibition of the founding family and history behind the business. Hard to park, so grab if you can.

We were very excited to try this legendary place but left somewhat disappointed. Ordered the aglio olio pasta, kwetiaw, and their signature poffertjes. The pasta and kwetiaw were very average, nothing to write home about, almost bland. While their famous poffertjes... Disappointing to say the least, it tastes very much too eggy, very little butter in the poffertjes itself and no butter outside either, tasted very bland and uninspiring, had many better poffertjes in many less famous places. Tried the ice cream too and its just regular classic ice cream but very overpriced, with a very tough cookie, and nothing special. The atmosphere was top notch though

I am a fan of anything vintage. Really enjoy my time here. The vibes was really cozy and comfy, the service was top notch (special thanks to Mas Rafael/Raphael who really have an excellent product knowledge, he patiently answered all our questions. We overheard when he served other table and it was remarkable service). Other server were also attentive, which added the comfy point. I ordered oenbitjkoek, amandel, kopyor ice cream and strawberry chesecake ice cream. Their oenbitjkoek is really fragrant with its cinnamon so it really nice. Oen’s kopyor ice cream was my favorite. Their amandel is too sweet for me, while the strawberry cheesecake was the real meaning of cheesecake flavour, which is great if you are a fan of cheese. There was a parking lot in the road side but we chose to park on Queen City Mall.
