This restaurant is located by the seaside, offering a view that faces the ocean. It has both indoor and semi-outdoor dining areas, as well as a designated area for smoking guests. The café’s interior is simple, with large windows allowing indoor diners to also enjoy the sea view. The service is just average. For the food, I ordered the chicken cutlet egg rice, but my husband mentioned that the omelet—cooked Japanese-style and about three-quarters done—had a slightly fishy smell. I also ordered the Szechuan mushroom grilled chicken, but it didn’t have any special flavor, and the salad was somewhat bitter. Interestingly, the Soto Betawi was quite good. The beef was served separately from the soup and sautéed beforehand. The meat was tender, and the broth tasted rich and savory. Unfortunately, the carrots and potatoes were undercooked, making them rather hard.
View on GoogleSorak Sorai is a Japandi designed restaurant that has warm wood colors for walls & tables and has paper lantern styled pendants for hanging lights. When we got here it was jam packed and so while we waited the staff made sure we got our table asap and we felt welcomed. You have plenty of options to choose from drinks that the drink menu was almost if not longer than the food menu, and also all of the drinks are uniquely crafted into colorful/gradient fun drinks that also taste amazing. The honey butter toast and the meltique steak also tasted flavorful. I recommend any person that comes to the awan costa area to try this restaurant out.
View on GoogleSorakSorai at Awann Costa offers a relaxing dining experience with a nice outdoor area overlooking the sea (pantai). Though the prices are a bit on the expensive side, the food tastes good and the portions are fair, making the visit still worth it for the ambience and view.
View on GoogleFor the appetiser we had Corn Carbonara Boom, it’s like a croquet but with sweetcorn. The chedar cheese wasn’t necessary cause it made it a bit too much. For the main, we had Crazy Rice and Beef Holy Basil. Both were perfectly seasoned. Good portion, too. The beef in Crazy Rice was juicy and tender. The place is very spacious. They have outdoor area facing directly to the sea. It has Bali vibe to it. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
View on GoogleVisited this place twice in a row, and I must say—the taste, ambience, and service never disappoint. However, one small downside was the use of iron plates or bowls. When combined with metal spoons, it somehow affects the taste and leaves a metallic sting that's quite off-putting. I hope the restaurant reconsiders this specific choice of tableware, as it does impact the overall dining experience.
