For me its a must-try spot for spicy food lovers especially if you're visiting Semarang. The fish is tender, flavorful, and the spicy sauce hits just right The portions are generous and definitely worth the price (based on what size you order). The owner is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the dining experience even better. If you love authentic, spicy Indonesian dishes, this place is a gem you shouldn’t miss!
View on GoogleManyung is a big sea fish. It is very delicious because the fish was smoked first, and then added the soup. The result was quite spicy soup, yet deeply penetrated smoky taste into the meat. Beware the default soup is already spicy for me.
View on GoogleOrdered kepala manyung sedang at Rp 140k. Can cater for 2pax.. Due to some review, we ordered not spicy.. turn out the gravy really not spicy at all. Overall it's just okay, give the steep price may not come back
View on GoogleI love the fact they smoked the fish head, and its size was big. It blended well with the santan broth it came with. Since it's fish head then get ready to eat with your hands and gnawing on those succulent bone meat. The side dishes were great too. I really liked the papaya leaves dish. Tofu and oval satay weren't bad. Perkedel was the only one I didn't really like. If you don't like fish head part, they also have the meat only. Whichever part you fancy, I gotta warn you it's spicy and will stay in your hand for at least a day.
View on GoogleKepala Manyung Bu Fat is a legendary culinary icon in Semarang for those who love bold, spicy flavors. Their smoked stingray head in rich, fiery yellow curry is incredibly tender and aromatic. The atmosphere is simple and authentic, always bustling with locals and foodies. It is a must-visit for a true, soul-warming Javanese seafood experience!
