This is a nice, old Hindu temple in the middle of Java. I'm quite happy this place is kept for future generations. Some parts you can climb, other parts are restricted, which is good in the name of preservation. Also, the temple sits at a place with a great view. The builders from before knew to find a place with a dramatic view 😉

Having traveled all over Indonesia, I can honestly say Candi Sukuh is one of the most beautiful and unique temples I’ve visited. The setting is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the architecture feels unlike anything else—full of history, mystery, and character. A truly special place that left a lasting impression. Absolutely worth the visit.

We took a 110cc Honda Beat scooter up and it was quite taxing for the bike on the final leg up. The road is not windy but steep for a small scooter. It's cooling and very serene looking on a weekday Price is Rupiah50,000 for Tourists Locals just pay Rupiah 10 or 20,000. Parking is Rupiah2,000 for bike

I feel honored to witness one of Nusantara’s remarkable cultural heritages. It reminds me that our ancestors were innovative and far ahead of their time
