Housed in a former citronella factory, this modern facility teaches the public about essential oils.

RUMAH ATSIRI (ATSIRI) was born and started from an abandoned Citronella factory. President Soekarno initiated the establishment of this factory in 1963 because he wanted Indonesia to become a major player in world essential oils.

Such a shame for a beautiful and peaceful place where visitors’ comfort is not their priority. This is not suitable for people with limited mobility. Imagine going glamping and you have to walk from the lobby to the glamping site and spa carrying all your luggage for about 10 minutes. They should at least provide a buggy and you cannot even rent the ATV to go around. You have to join an outdoor activity to use it. What’s worse, there are no toilets in the vicinity. If you need to relieve yourself, the toilet is in the parking area and in their restaurant. I had fun in the perfume making class though and their collections of perfume in the shop were amazing. But I don’t think I’d come back and recommend this place.

Good place overall. The ticket price is IDR 50.000. You will get a card with IDR 50.000 value. You can redeem it for museum tour (cost IDR 38.500), aromatic garden tour (IDR 25.000), food in restaurant, or shop in their store. The museum tour was great. The aromatic garden tour was okay at best. The most disappointing part of my visit was the restaurant. It’s lunch time, I knew the staff were hectic but I called 4-5 staff and waited for more than 30 mins to get a staff to take my order. The food served within 15 mins, it tasted okay.

Great place to visit if you’re in solo, a break from the city and on a lush green hill. The staff members are all very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the aromatic garden tour and solid perfume class during my visit here. I’d like to personally thank khayla and nur for their hospitality and warmth during my visit there. They were generous with information and made me feel bright and warm throughout the session. They were very informational but their delivery was easy to digest and easy for anyone to understand. Thank you.
