my first meal right when i touched down karimunjawa. located near many other restaurants and homestays. delicious, affordable katsu near the port! staff are nice. payment available via cash or transfer to bank account. there was also cute cat.

Good food and very friendly staff. The ayam bakar and katsu black peper were the best of all. Es teh manis and the vanilla milkshake were great. Next to a bar to get a drink afterwards.

The food was really good, and it came out pretty fast too. Honestly, no complaints about the food at all. But the service was a huge letdown, especially from the female waiter and the female cashier. They were really unfriendly. The way the waiter put the plates on the table felt so rough and rude. What disappointed me the most was that I noticed they were super nice and polite to the Western customers, but not to the local ones. That honestly didn’t feel right. It’s such a shame because the food is delicious, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back because the service was just that bad. I left feeling really unhappy with how I was treated. I hope the owner can remind the staff to treat everyone with the same kindness and respect—not just foreign guests, but local customers too. We’re paying customers as well, and we deserve the same level of service.

I came here 4 times when stayed in karimunjawa for 4 days. Their fried rice is superb, delicious and worth the price. Love their nasi goreng telur asin 💯!!! I tried ayam bakar too and it’s delicious but I think they didn’t reheat the chicken long enough so it was still a bit cold but nonetheless it’s still good.

I like this place, comfy and cheap. I really recommend you to buy nasi kebuli 9.5/10 and orange juice 9/10 (the taste is amazing!!). However, chicken curry and sate taichan is 6.5/10. Please consider serving lime for taichan (from people who love and order taichan a lot in their lives, haha). You can order secret garden (cafe) menu too while ordering food here.
