The food that was served to me wasn't fully cooked, the chicken was half raw and right after that my brother got diarrhea, even the dough on the onion rings wasn't fully cooked, also the toilet was very dirty and uncomfortable, it didn't even have any lights inside. The service wasn't bad, food didn't come too long after ordering, although please do take time to cook the food thoroughly since it could cause serious illnesses especially when it comes to chicken or any other types of bird you're cooking.

The Salt Cafe has everything. The food is deliciously prepared by Bombom, she can cook anything from lovely spicy Indonesian classics to western delicacies. The proprietress Nie is super friendly and always makes an amazing atmosphere. Whether you’re there for surfing or relaxing, the waiting staff Iat and Fella make you feel at home and welcome. We stayed in Batukaras for 3 months and tried lots of different establishments but always came back to the Salt Cafe. The wifi is great, Bintang is cold and the juices fantastic. I cannot recommend it enough!!!

May be it was not the good day or good time of the day, we order 3 dish’s, it was not eatable, no sauce, undercook, no flavors, we ask for sambals or chili to adjust we receive tomato ketchup …

The cafe has nice atmosphere, good coffee shop attached. The staff are so funny and friendly! The food is a little pricey but nice to have some western options for breakfast - had most of the options during our 3 week stay in the area and my faves were the granola fruit and baked beans/eggs/potato thing :) You can get a nice coconut at the warung across the road and also make sure you try some of the fried items from the food cart!

Salt cafe was great!! Was in a great location and had a lovely view of the beach. The owner Nie and the ladies that work there are so sweet and accommodating. She got us a room during the holiday and even moved us to a bigger one when it was available, got us a motorbike for our stay and organized a taxi to the airport. They had great coffee and make the best pancakes we’ve ever had. Will for sure stay here again if we come back to Batu Kara’s. Thanks bestie!!
