Fantastic museum with an astounding collection. Costs 15k (separate ticket). The sultanate's golden age was as a trading empire in the 15-16th cent, so there's lots of foreign goods from that period. Highlights include: 15th cent cannon from India and "Mongolia"; Portuguese cannon, swords and chainmail armor captured in the 1527 attack on Jakarta; Ming era ceramics; 15th cent furniture from Egypt and China, 17th cent Ottoman serving bowls. There's also the standard European luxury goods from the 17th cent onwards. I found a 15th cent pair of erotic kama sutra wooden panels intriguing (Javanese). Most objects are labeled with dates and provenance (Indonesian only). There's a room about Sunan Gunung Jati (15th cent Wali Songo saint), open Mondays only.
View on GoogleNot part of Keraton Kasepuhan, but worth checking out. Entrance fee is too pricey in my opinion, minus 1 star. Great multinational collections of ancient artifacts from China, France, Dutch, Javanese. Main attraction is the carriage, which was built by the prince for the Sultan.
View on GoogleIt's a nice museum, located inside Cirebon's Sultanate area. Well managed, super clean, and the collection of this museum is very complete😁👌 Their collection is in the form of historical relics of the Cirebon Sultanate, such as weapon, musical instrument, and the most remarkable is Kereta Singo Barong. There is also a Cirebon's handicraft shop in this museum, so make sure you buy some to capture a good memory😁
View on GoogleThe museum is well organized and do holds lots of Cirebon old time collection from hinduism kingdom in the late XII centuries until colonialism era. It was a well spent time to be here
