Kopitiam, as the name suggests, is a collective of various food items, similar to Singapore kopitiam. The menu offers a diverse range of options to satisfy different cravings. The dim sum xiao long bao is actually nice, with its well-crafted and flavorful filling. The fried rice and lontong (rice cake) curry are also delightful, providing a satisfying taste experience. Among the highlights, we particularly enjoyed the refreshing coconut pudding from Thai Coconut. It was a delightful treat that left a lasting impression. Additionally, they have some local desserts like black rice with mochi, which is also quite enjoyable, albeit slightly sweet. Overall, Kopitiam is an excellent place to start your day with a variety of delicious food options. The service is also commendable, making it a memorable dining experience.
View on GoogleWent pass through this resto many times but never make to stop by because the parking lot is always packed. Finaly went here on non-busy day and found out the food is delicious! Hot teh tarik is great, this is important because not all kopitiam has decent teh tarik. And the kaya toast is good too. Their breakfast package is a good deal too, about 50k idr for teh tarik, half-boiled egg, and kaya toast. The place is nice and with beautiful interior. There's plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Definitely gonna go back here if it's not too crowded.
View on GoogleThis is our second time here, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. We tried the nasi sayur this time, and it was absolutely superb! Agus was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back again!
View on GoogleLet’s be honest about the food here. It’s clearly not authentic Malay cuisine, unlike what you’ll find in M'sia. I ordered Nasi Lemak, and it was completely bland. There was no lemak flavor or fragrance at all. And guess what? There was no ikan bilis, which is supposed to be there. The sambal was also a major disappointment. I don’t think it was nasi lemak’s sambal. To be honest, this is not a nasi lemak, even random makcik’s nasi lemak in KL tastes way better. Even if you compare it to AirAsia or Malaysia Airlines’s nasi lemak, their nasi lemak is better. Now, let’s talk about the kaya toast. There’s so much to discuss about this toast. First, the kaya has a weird peanut taste that I don’t think it should have. Second, I don’t think it’s butter. Why does the “butter” have a margarine taste and fragrance? And not to mention, it’s melted when the toast is served, which is weird because traditionally, the “butter” is still set when it’s served. On the bright side, the place is nice, and the service is lightning fast, considering it’s lunch time. Overall, this restaurant needs to learn more about Malaysian cuisine to brand itself as a “kopitiam.” But the ambiance and service are top-notch.
View on GoogleThe food is actually good. My fave is the mochi and pandan onde. Trust me, you need to finish these yummy balls on the spot, cos once I bring it home, they don't taste as good as when the were freshly served. Other than that, nasi sayur taste a bit too spicy for my liking. The vibe is nice, but just a friendly reminder, this place closed up quite early. So better be here earlier as well.
