This classic fried chicken spot never disappoints. The chicken is packed with flavor and so soft/tender. Their fresh sambal gives it the perfect kick. If you love authentic, consistent old-school food, you have to come here.

I tried Ayam Goreng Nikmat Panaitan for the first time while in Bandung, and it left a good impression. The ayam kampung made the meal feel a bit pricier, but the karedok really stood out for me with its bold, spicy flavor. I’d probably return just for that dish, even if I don’t order the chicken every time.

Legendary Fried Chicken with a Parking Challenge If you are looking for an authentic taste of Bandung’s legendary poultry, Ayam Goreng Nikmat Panaitan is a mandatory stop. Here is the lowdown on what to expect: The Food: 10/10 The stars of the show are definitely the Fried Chicken (Ayam Goreng) and Grilled Chicken (Ayam Bakar). Since they use Ayam Kampung (free-range chicken), the meat is lean, flavorful, and has that distinct traditional bite. Don't forget to order the Karedok; it’s incredibly fresh and the perfect companion to the savory chicken. Service: Fast but "Invisible" The service is impressively efficient—the food arrives at your table almost as soon as you order. While the staff might not win any "Most Friendly" awards and have a habit of disappearing once you're on the second floor, they are incredibly quick at handling requests once you actually catch their attention. Location & Parking: The "Homework" The restaurant is tucked away inside a narrow alley (gang), which makes finding a parking spot quite a task. You’ll likely end up parking on the side of the main road, which can make the street feel quite cramped. If you're coming by car, be prepared for a bit of a logistics "PE ER" (struggle). The Price Point Chicken: IDR 34,500 per piece. This is quite reasonable and "proper" considering the quality of the Ayam Kampung they serve. Drinks: This is where the real surprise is. The Es Jeruk (Orange Ice) is priced at IDR 25,000, which is a bit steep compared to the meal itself. Summary: A must-visit for the food alone! Just come with a bit of patience for the parking situation and maybe double-check the drink prices before you order a second round of orange juice. Seating area is a lot but most are table for 6 Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.4/5)

Their original chicken taste better than the grilled one. The other menu was only fine. The Sayur Asem (vegetables in tamarind soup) was not my favorite, yet it come with bigger portion but seem out of my expectation because it dominated with snake beans, which I don't really like. A friendly reminder, because they cook only free-range chicken, portion can be a bit small for some people. Ambiance was good, no proper parking area but you can park in the side of the road and since it is located a bit narrow in housing area, so it is still acceptable. I recommend for the original chicken, while the rest? Just not my kind of taste. Visit again next some time? Just, maybe.

So far, this is the best fried chicken in Bandung for me. The taste of the spices are so deep. They cook the chicken and everything else freshly when you ordered the foods. The sambal in the other hand could be more salty or my opinion they give us options since the one they gave me is a little bit sweet. But, overall, the next time I visit this place I might eat 3 or 4 pieces of chicken here. SO SO SO GOOD!
