Galeri Pusat Kebudayaan (GPK) Galeri Pusat Kebudayaan (GPK), better known as Gedung Yayasan Pusat Kebudayaan (YPK), is a historic building in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Gedung YPK is located at Jl. Naripan No. 7 Bandung and currently serves as a venue for art and cultural performances. It is regularly used by artists in Bandung for painting and visual art exhibitions managed by bandung Connex. Past exhibitions include prelude and katakan seni rupa dengan cinta #2. These exhibitions at GPK were initiated by Isa Perkasa, Tony Anthomius and Wildan. Exhibitions held at GPK are free and have no ticketing, but a catalog updated every month is provided for purchasing paintings. GPK is also often used for workshops.

View on GoogleVisual art exhibitions are often held here. Very nice and inclusive. You don't need to feel embarrassed or hesitant, let alone pay, to appreciate the visual art exhibitions here. You just need to help keep this place clean and orderly by not touching the artworks (except certain works marked/designed to be interactive) and putting trash in the bins. Your presence alone really helps keep this place active and alive. It's not a permanent exhibition space, so the artworks on display always change according to the current program. The sound system for music, theater, and dance performances is inadequate. The performance space is also just sufficient. Don't get me wrong, this place has slowly been reviving and improving. From leaking roofs and rotten wood, nearly dead and neglected, it has now become more suitable for exhibitions. But if the government paid more attention to its care and maintenance, it would surely be more useful for the creative industry than building new landmarks with unclear locations and access. Maybe promises to improve arts and culture are less appealing as campaign pledges or program portfolios. The location is very strategic, close to downtown Bandung and historic sites and buildings. What's unfortunate is the limited parking and its somewhat hidden position, even though it's beside the building. Often used as an exhibition space by art students in Bandung collectively to show their latest works.
View on GoogleAn art gallery with adequate facilities for dance, painting and other arts. Located in an area with a very strong Dutch historical character.
View on GoogleA nice art gallery. The place is always busy with painters... It's on jalan Braga, came here on Saturday afternoon just as jalan Braga was starting to come alive and get busy. The artworks on display are very inspiring.
