I feel this is a hidden gem. We get to know this restaurant is when we accidentally walk into the ground floor bread store. Since is dinner time decided to give it a try. Price is very reasonable and tastes good. The environment very authentic. Find a seat and you can start to order your food from QR. I noticed in Indonesia nowadays most of the shop prefer card or QR, same to this, they do not accept cash. Food serving was fast. Outside is a busy street but you do feel chill when have your dinner inside. Definitely a good place for you to place a visit and try.

Bakmie Tjo Kin in Braga truly lives up to its legendary status. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The star of the show, the Bakmie, is expertly prepared with a delightful balance of flavors and textures. Each bowl is generously portioned and features fresh ingredients that elevate the dish to another level. The variety on the menu is impressive, catering to different tastes with options ranging from classic recipes to innovative twists. Whether you're a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, Bakmie Tjo Kin offers a memorable culinary experience that keeps patrons coming back for more. Highly recommended! My our recommendations: Bakmie Yamin Asin, Bakso dan Pangsit goreng!

No Tjo Kin: Bandung’s Nostalgic Noodle Institution You don’t come to Bandung looking for sanitized, soul-crushing modernism. You come for the layers of history, the cool mountain air, and places like **Bakmie Tjo Kin**. Stepping inside is a trip in a time machine. They’ve captured the vibrant, technicolor dream of a 1950s Chinese-Indonesian home. The colors are fresh, almost electric, yet the space possesses that rare, elusive magic: it feels like it has been right here, unaltered, forever. This isn't some flash-in-the-pan concept engineered by a corporate boardroom. Bakmie Tjo Kin is a heavy hitter with a legacy that goes back generations, tracing its roots to a Peranakan-style recipe brought over by Tjo Kin himself. What started decades ago as a humble, fiercely guarded family recipe has grown into a Bandung institution. They aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel here; they’re curating a living lineage of comfort food, anchoring themselves in the community without losing their damn soul. You’re ultimately here for the noodles. Made fresh on the premises, they are a masterclass in beautiful simplicity. No gimmicks. Just a perfectly chewy canvas that you can customize to your own heat-seeking, savory-craving heart's desire. As a proud extension of their established lineage, they know exactly what they’re doing. It’s a magnificent, deeply satisfying bowl. If you’re a local, it’s a weekly staple. If you’re just passing through town? It’s an absolute, non-negotiable stop.

Surprisingly quiet for a weekend visit, especially with the nearby cafés fully packed. The food is decent and carries a nostalgic, old-school flavour and some may find the noodles slightly soggy. I love how the place has been carefully updated to feel fresh while still preserving its vintage vibe.

Had Bakmie Tjo Kin in Braga while it was raining in Bandung and honestly, it was the perfect combo. The noodles were warm, flavorful, and super comforting. That classic Bandung-style taste really hits different when the weather’s cold. The portion was just right, the seasoning was on point, and every bite felt like pure comfort food. Such a simple bowl, but sooo satisfying. Definitely a must-try if you’re around Braga, especially on a rainy day. Perfect mood, perfect bakmie!
