Sushi Tei, wherever you go, is usually a safe bet. The sushi is fresh, tasty, and satisfying. That consistency is why people keep coming back. But this particular branch at PJV Mall, Bandung? The service really needs improvement. I tried to reserve a table for iftar. They said it was possible, but we had to come at 5 PM to secure the reservation. Which is… odd. If you have to physically come early and queue anyway, what exactly is the point of reserving? When we arrived, there was already a long line. I had to wait through seven waiting list numbers before getting a table. When our turn finally came, we were offered an outdoor table without air conditioning. For iftar. In a crowded place. We asked to sit inside instead, and that meant waiting again. After finally sitting down, the service didn’t really improve. I had to ask several times just to refill the ocha. They said yes each time, but it didn’t come. The last time I asked, it never came at all. Not until I paid and left. The food is still good. That’s not the issue. But service is part of the experience, especially during a busy time like iftar. If you’re handling reservations and big crowds, the system needs to be smoother and the staff more attentive. Great sushi, disappointing service. And that imbalance really shows.
View on GoogleIdk what other people are saying. But this Sushi Tei has maintained its taste, quality, and service for years. Tried one of the dishes off of their Japanese x Italian menu; the Zensai Pizza and it was very tasty. It was aromatic with Italian ingredients with Japanese toppings, hit the nail on the head with presenting its intentions.
View on GoogleSushi Tei has lost its charm and taste. Long wait for the food. The ingredients were not fresh. The only thing that they’ve maintained is the affordability compared to the other on par sushi restaurants.
View on GoogleVisited during a busy time, and as expected, it was quite crowded. Located inside a mall, this Sushi Tei branch is just like the others—consistent and always serving delicious food. Hopefully, they’ll offer more promos in the future.
View on GoogleService is excellent, crew hospitality is top notch. The food, one should never doubt SushiTei. Their mentai, for me personally, are a bit too salty so make sure you pair it with more balancing dish. And my all time favorite is nori ten salmon, never pass. <3
