Food-wise, this might actually be the best Imperial Kitchen & Dimsum branch I’ve been to. Everything feels better here. Portion size, flavor, even presentation. The dishes come out looking proper and tasting consistently good. Usually with chain restaurants, one branch feels amazing and another feels like it gave up halfway through service. This one clearly still cares. Now unfortunately, the service situation tells a different story. I came on a Sunday night during a long weekend, and the place was completely packed. Yet there were probably only three or four staff handling the floor. And it shows. Simple requests became difficult. Asking for plates, chili oil, extra napkins, all took time. Sometimes they forgot entirely because they were clearly overwhelmed trying to handle too many tables at once. The important thing is, the staff themselves were still professional. You could tell they were genuinely trying their best. Running around nonstop, staying polite, keeping things moving as much as possible. This doesn’t feel like a staff problem. It feels like management trying to maximize profit while minimizing manpower. Which always ends the same way: exhausted staff and slower service for customers. Overall, excellent food and probably one of the strongest Imperial branches in Bandung. But management seriously needs to add more staff during peak periods instead of expecting a tiny team to carry an entire packed restaurant on their backs.
View on GoogleWe used to eat at Imperial Kitchen in Surabaya and Jakarta. The other day my husband and I tried to have early lunch at Imperial Kitchen Summarecon Bandung. The restaurant itself is clean, the workers are nice and polite. My husband wanted to order Puyunghai. But the waiter said it's not ready. How come it's not ready? The restaurant is already open , and Puyunghai basically its eggs... And we were disappointed because the taste of the food that we ordered all is so "tasteless" we don't taste anything. The noodles are tasteless , the vegetables , even the dunpilings soup. Only the Hakau that taste okey. And we need to pay more than 300K for food that is tasteless.. Really such a disappointment.
View on GoogleI always enjoy eating here, any branch provides the same experience. In Sumarecon Bandung branch they have special discount for dimsum every 15th date of the month, so enjoy! The food never fails me and the chili oil is nice, they sell it in form of small jar. Yangchow fried rice is good and cakwe udang is delish. I like that firing-chili-spicy-taste so i ask for extra chopped chili, it really elevates the taste. Chili makes everything taste better :) My top 3 dimsum would be Siew mai ayam, cakwe udang, and lumpia kulit tahu. Wonton soup is very comforting as well. Kailan 3 rasa is a unique sautéed veggies. Sapo tahu is also perfectly cooked. And the noods...so happy to finish whichever noodles they have. I tried almost all items on the menu but those mentioned are my reps , my usual. Siew may udang is OK,unfortunately the bottom of the wrap is still quite hard. No problem. They handled it well.
