I tried a few dishes at Dago Panyawangan and some of them stood out more than others. The fried squid and grilled prawns were the highlights for me, while a few of the other dishes felt pretty average. The prices seemed reasonable, and the service was responsive. Overall, it was a comfortable place to eat, though the experience was more solid than memorable.
View on Googlewent there at 10ish right before lunch time. no wait, food came quick, and tasty. the ambience was nice with the gamelan sound and natural background noises from mini waterfall ordered (1) the udang windu bakar pedas (got 5 pieces), taste good, fresh, and had a decent size. (2) the tomyam’s a bit spicy and it has that tanginess similar to the one i ate in bangkok. the fillings aren’t too diverse tho, only contains like 3/4 pieces of prawns, half a squid, fish ball, and quite lots of mushrooms. (3) ordered lemon grass tea and young coconut, imo all the drinks are too sweet so you might wanna ask for less sugar
View on GoogleAll the dishes were delicious. It was my first time trying Sundanese food. The Sayur Asem soup was unique and really enjoyable. The Gepuk Dago was flavorful—similar to jerky, and I liked it a lot. The Avocado Juice (Jus Alpukat) was great as always, and you can even request for it to be less sweet. The rest of the food was equally tasty and impressive. Especially the nasi bakar. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of tables and seating, and the staff were all very friendly.
View on GoogleI recently dined for lunch at Dago Panyawangan Restaurant in Bandung, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! Nestled in a picturesque location, the restaurant offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and city, making it a perfect spot for a memorable meal. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a blend of modern decor and natural elements. It’s an ideal place for both casual dining and special occasions. The outdoor seating area is particularly charming, allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful scenery while savoring their meals. The menu features a great variety of dishes, including both local and international options. I tried their signature Indonesian cuisine, and every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. The service was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to provide recommendations. Overall, Dago Panyawangan Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in Bandung. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner or a family gathering, this place has something for everyone. I can’t wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings!
View on GoogleClassic and authentic Sundanese culinary. With plenty of menus to choose from. We do recommend their pepes (we tried the Ikan Mas dan Jamur). The Grilled Gurame was good but somehow we can still taste the ‘mud or foul-smell’. Something that none available if we buy Gurame from Ciamis or Kota Banjar. Overall, we have good experience dining here and shall return.
