Whenever I am in Bandung and craving a comforting breakfast, Bubur Ayam Pak Zaenal is almost always my first choice. The porridge is wonderfully warm and flavourful, with toppings that come together beautifully to create a satisfying start to the day. I particularly enjoy how comforting and familiar the taste feels, especially during busy mornings. The portions are generous enough to leave me properly full without feeling too heavy. For me, it is the sort of breakfast spot that makes mornings feel far more enjoyable.

Bubur Zenal might not be suitable for those and myself who look for porridge with a strong and satisfying taste topped with scallions and fried shallots. It is necessary to consider improving the recipe and enhancing service quality to increase customer satisfaction. There are no significant advantages to this legendary porridge; instead, it is overpriced, too thick, cold, and lacks flavor. Disadvantages 1. The thick porridge texture without soup or broth makes the taste less impactful. 2. The unsatisfying taste feels thick without flavor. 3. The relatively expensive price (IDR 30,000) for a quality that does not meet expectations. 4. No shallots as a topping, which might be expected at a special price. 5. Cramped place.

The porridge is very thick resembling nasi tim, lacks flavor and punch, but maybe it's just our preference 😁
