This legendary spot serves authentic Semarang dishes, and the flavors really shine. The lumpia and other specialties taste amazing, which explains why it’s beloved by so many; especially the older generation who appreciate classic Javanese (Semarang) cooking. And when you see loyal elderly diners, you know the food is genuinely good. The only drawback is the price. Compared to Semarang, where you can find the same level of taste and quality at a much lower cost, the Bandung prices feel a bit steep. Considering the ingredients aren’t particularly hard to source here, it feels like you’re paying extra for authenticity. Still, if you’re craving Semarang flavors in Bandung, this place is worth the visit. Just be prepared to pay a little more than you might expect.
View on GoogleNostalgic place. I got lots of dishes that reminds me of Semarang. Nasi Goreng: Had a delightful sweet taste, infused with spices. Evoked memories of Semarang, capturing the essence of traditional Semarang cuisine. Lumpia Semarang: Slightly below average compared to the original ones found in Semarang. However, it still offered a decent flavor although not as memorable as the authentic version. Tahu Pong: Similar to Lumpia, decent, but not really tasty compared to the original ones. Singkong goreng: Average Es Kopi Susu: Average
View on GoogleAn old restaurant which has been serving locals and visitors for generations. Located inside Dutch heritage building, the restaurant is located in the big house area which is still maintained in meticulous condition. The service is still very homey and warm. Old school cashier with the waiter taking your order on the table. The food taste is still authentic and quality maintained over the test of time. The lumpia, Soto and many other local favourites are still the go to choices and definitely satisfying. Nothing flashy as a modern Instagram-able location but definitely a big tick for food.
View on GoogleTucked away in a leafy, old school setting, this place has such a charming vibe. It’s my favorite spot for Lumpia Semarang in Bandung! The turnip pickle is so good it perfectly complements the lumpia
View on GoogleThe legendary Lumpia Semarang is in this restaurant. It is so good, at least for me :) While for the place, hmm since it is an old restaurant, so the place is just ok. My favorite food are Lumpia Semarang of course, Lontong Cap Go Meh, Nasi Gudeg Special, and the traditional Fried Rice is also good.
